Los Angeles Unified School District Selects
MORLIN

On April 1st 2003, Morlin Management will begin managing eight facilities for the Los Angeles Unified School District. The request for proposal for real estate facilities management services was approved by The Maintenance and Operations Division of the Los Angeles Unified School District and passed by The Board of Education for the Los Angeles Unified School District in a meeting held on Tuesday, March 25th 2003. Morlin will provide a single point of contact for all communication between the District and the legal owner of the property and/or its authorized agents. Morlin will provide maintenance and repair oversight to ensure requests are handled in a timely and cost effective manner thus enabling the District Maintenance and Operation staff to focus their time and resources on the schools located throughout the Districts.

The properties include: 1330 Pico Blvd., 3741 South La Brea Blvd, 3710 South La Brea Blvd, 2710 Media Center Drive, 1115 South Boyle Ave, The Beaudry Center - 333 South Beaudry Ave, and the KPMG Building located at 355 South Grand Ave., acquired by L.A.U.S.D. for administrative staff totaling approximately 1,250,000 square feet. Morlin prides itself on insuring that all facilities are cared for and maintained in the most professional manner.

Morlin Wins Management Contract in Tarzana

Morlin Management has been selected by Flake & Kelly Management to manage their Medical Office Building located in Tarzana California. The Tarzana Medical Building is a 88,000 sq. Ft. property located on Burbank Blvd., and services many families in the San Fernando Valley.
The building is currently going through major renovation of it's HVAC system, and security system. Assisting in the renovation and upgrade of this medical facility is Siemans Service, and Vivatar Doors. Both companies as well as Morlin hope to have all renovations completed by the end of April, 2003


In our last newsletter we were thrilled to have been selected as lease administrators for office space leased by Wells Fargo Bank, located at 444 S. Flower St. in downtown Los Angeles. In this newsletter we would like to congratulate Travers Realty, Dennis Smith and Steve Eyler, on their securing & execution of signed leases on behalf of Wells Fargo Bank. Morlin Management would like to welcome David Cowan, Attorney at Law to Suite 525, GMAC Commercial Credit, LLC to the Forty-Fifth floor, and the renewal of Carlsmith, Ball LLP on the Ninth floor.


Morlin would like to thank all who helped in the removal process of the stairwell once joining floors Forty-Five and Forty-Six. If not for Christine McCarthy, Morlin Management Construction Supervisor, Original Architects A/C Martin, and many other contractors, the stairwell removal process would not have gone so smooth.

Linda Molyneux Steps Up to Bat in San Francisco

Morlin Management is growing at a rapid pace and in order to meet its clients needs Morlin has recently hired a new Portfolio Manager in the Bay area, Ms. Linda Molyneux. Linda brings to the property management business a successful background in sales, marketing and management. She has a strong ability to listen to the needs of clients, vendors and engineers and to react accordingly . Linda prides herself in great follow-through and enjoys the hands-on aspect of her work. She acts and responds to the needs and issues of the tenants in a timely manner.

Morlin Welcomes a New Life into the World
Morlin would like to congratulate, Portfolio Manager, Ginnie Arbing and husband Charles Arbing III on their new arrival. Charles Francis Arbing IV was born on November 30, 2002 in Boston. Charles weighed in at 5lbs. 5 oz. Baby and family have returned home to Long Beach, California and are doing great. We at Morlin wish the best for the Arbing Family.

And Now Up to Bat..........................Gloria French!

Morlin Management has recently hired Ms. Gloria French, previously with Equity Office Properties in Pasadena. Gloria's sixteen years of experience has always put her in front of the client. Gloria is always striving for ways to provide cutting edge service at a reasonable cost to her owners. It's this balance of service that makes her job challenging and profitable.
